The Youth Leadership Summit is an annual event designed to engage future leaders and expose them to important global challenges. Through training seminars, cultural events, and a diplomacy simulation, students develop leadership and professional development skills, inspiring a new generation of citizen diplomats who promote peace, mutual respect, and prosperity. The program includes training seminars on professional development and diplomacy, cultural events featuring tours of Washington, D.C. landmarks, and a diplomacy simulation at the National Museum of American Diplomacy. Applicants must be between 14 and 18 years old, actively associated with a sister city organization, and 50 students are selected to participate
International Day of Peace
International Day of Peace
Tacoma Sister Cities presents the International Day of Peace.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 from 11am to 1pm.
Cultivating a culture of peace is the focus of the event. There will be music, peaceful actions, inspirational speakers, and a moment of silence for global peace.
The event will be held at Thea's Park, located at 405 Dock Street in Tacoma, Washington.
