Cultural Footprints Festival

  • Scandinavian Cultural Center Parkland, WA, 98444 United States (map)

Please join us on April 12th at the Cultural Footprints Festival, a celebration of weaving and textiles of various cultures at the Scandinavian Cultural Center. This festival is made possible with the generous support from the Helen Gorenson Fund.

Explore "Cultural Footprints" with visiting artists from Oaxaca, Lourdes Mireya Jimenez Lopez and Julissa Vasquez Jimenez, who will share their five generations of weaving and natural dyeing techniques, revealing links to our SCC collection and Native American styles. This event will feature hands-on crafting, dyeing, carding, and weaving, showcasing the significance of generational and cultural connections through textiles; and partners with the Wang Center for Global Education.

Date: Saturday, April 12
Time: 11:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Scandinavian Cultural Center,
Anderson University Center
